Haiti Earthquake Emergency House Repairs

Mackenson, who is pictures with me in the cover photo, has been our security officer for our mission trips to Haiti for the past 7 years. Wonderful man, who is very intimidating physically and a teddy bear with the orphans any time we are with the children.

Unfortunately Mackenson’s parents live in the South region of Haiti that just suffered a 7.2 earthquake at the end of last week. His Family’s house has caved in an is unlivable as it stands right now. To make matters worst, a tropical storm dumped close to 15 inch of rain on them days after the earthquake! They are in desperate need of basics such as food and water and temporary shelter. Later, we will be trying to help get their house re-built after they get the basics taken care of.

Finding supplies, paying the inflated cost of supplies, and getting the supplies to the family will all be a challenge that we will not be able to help solve from here in the US. Our goal is to get Mackenson the funds and he will figure out the logistics in country. We have full trust and faith in Mackenson’s character and love of family to know he will do all he can to get the supplies to his family.

I know a lot of my friends and family have been concerned about our mission friends in the mountains of Haiti. Praise God that they have been kept safe and sound besides some roofing issues due to the storms. This is an opportunity to know that your donation will go specifically to a family in need. Please join me in reaching our first goal in getting them safe and supplies for basic needs. Unfortunately everything there will cost exorbitant amounts in these times of crisis that Haiti is facing. We understand that these funds will not stretch as far as normal. But we will give lovingly to help this family survive this immediate crisis and continue to pray for the Healing of Haiti in the days to come.
