Haiti Earthquake 2021 Grassroots

As many of you may already know, the western peninsula of Haiti was struck by a 7.2 earthquake

on August 14th at 8:29 a.m. . This was a devastating blow to the people and the region who were still recovering from the 2016 Hurricane that basically leveled the same region as the earthquake this past week.

To add insult to injury this also happens as there is a shortage of food and famine is ravaging the poorest of the poor. Haiti can't seem to catch any breaks these days. To put it mildly, Haiti is on its knees. Part of the problem is the weak infrastructure and bad organization of basic needs for some of the poorest people on earth. For those who do not know me, My name is Roman Gasowski I am married to my Haitian wife of 18 years. Through all these years I have gotten to know the Haitian people very well. We've built a home

in Jeremie Haiti and love going down to enjoy the beautiful culture, the people, food, and lifestyle.

The needs are immense but I have spoken to many friends on the ground and there are requests for the basic needs. The top needs that keep coming up are Tarps/tents, water, food, medical care and building materials.

My wife Madge was actually there the day it happened but is safe as well as all my other family members. But many others were not as fortunate. I am reaching out to all my friends, family, and strangers to find it in your heart to help Haiti recover. I will be managing and dispersing all funds myself. The faster we can get the money the better it is for the families who are suffering. I greatly appreciate all the help and the Haitian people will be forever grateful for the lending hand.
