HAITI AGAIN!!!!❤️

Donation protected

Hello All,

I know not Haiti AGAIN!!! I’m Haitian and I can honestly say that I’m so sick of Haiti’s ****, literally and figuratively. I’m exhausted and just straight up tired. Tired of the emotional rollercoaster and the constant barrage of negative news. That said, I can’t turn my back on Haiti. I just can’t. It’s deeply ingrained in my heart and apart of who I am.

The earthquake that struck Haiti on August 14, 2021 devastated mainly the East, Central, and South Departments. Aux Cayes is one the cities badly affected.

Serge, who is like a brother to me is from Aux Cayes. Serge and I met in college and have been like brother and sister ever since. Serge came to the US from Haiti at 16, and didn’t speak a word of English. He quickly excelled academically. He graduated from one of the country’s most prestigious Architecture AND Civil Engineering programs at Drexel University. He cultivated a prestigious, lucrative career as an engineer in New York managing multi-million dollar construction projects. When the January 12, 2010 earthquake struck Haiti he took a leave of abscence and has been building and constructing Haiti FULLTIME ever since. He has made family and financial sacrifices that I don’t think anyone of us would make. He has sacrificed family and most of all himself for the love that he has for Haiti. He is one of the most authentic and trustworthy people that l’ve met. Despite the classist and racist/colorist challenges that he faces in Haiti on a daily basis, he’s there and is NOT leaving. He has already rescued a few people from rubble (Aug. 14) and is surveying and helping people EARLY this morning (Aug. 15). See the pic below from our WhatsApp call this morning. He explained that the most heart breaking is the children that are in the streets. The first phase is to get the children in the streets food and first aid. That’s the focus right now and then move on to rebuilding homes. I personally will be disbursing the money to Serge. There will be NO NGOs, third party, or outside organization involvement. This is Stephanie and Serge working together to do a small part to help the people in Aux Cayes.

I will send the funds to Serge in Haiti by depositing the funds into his Unibank Account at my local CAM location in NJ.

We fully understand that we will never be able to solve all of Haiti’s problems but we also understand that we can do a small part to help move the needle forward. We greatly appreciate any assistance that you and your loved ones can provide. We are grateful for the blessings and chances that we’ve received in our lives. We understand that we must push those blessings forward to others. We appreciate your kindness and generosity.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Stephanie and Serge ❤️
