Monique Hale is a dear friend of mine and she doubles as my hairstylist. After closing for months, in compliance with COVID regulations in the state of California, she was allowed to reopen her salon for a couple weeks at the end of June.
Unfortunately, with the increasing cases of COVID, all salons were forced to close again at the beginning of July.
Small businesses can not survive without income. Monique has spent the last 18 years of her life working toward building Extension Bar LA, last year she was finally able to open the salon of her dreams in Studio City, CA, unable to foresee the financial difficulties that 2020 would present.
My friend, forever an optimist, got approved to do hair outside by the health department, in full compliance with COVID regulations. But on the morning of July 19, 2020 while she was loading all of her hair equipment; curling irons, hair dryers, scissors, brushes, clips, capes, and thousands of dollars worth of extensions into her car she was robbed.
Monique is one of the most hard working, determined, and caring women I know. She’s fallen on hard times that just got harder. This is why we’re here, to be the helpers. So let’s help! She lost an estimated $5,000 worth of equipment and product, I know times are hard for everyone but any help you can give is a gift that will help get Monique back to work quickly. Thank you so much for your time and consideration.
