TheHair Raising Opportunity: As our community knows, MaKayla KK Jenkins and her family have had a tough battle this year. Makayla has been battling osteosarcoma (bone cancer). She has undergone multiple chemo treatments, as well as several trips to Houston,Texas where she underwent an extensive surgery. Throughout this journey she has remained very brave and even finished her basketball cheer season in-between treatments. Our HS Social Studies Teacher, Mr. Tim McGill, would like to ask for your help raising money to assist their family with this battle. Mr. McGill has been letting his hair grow since we were struck with COVID last Spring. He will be letting the students of Riverside and whomever wishes to participate decide how he should cut his long flowing locks. You will have the opportunity to vote for one of 4 hairstyles, which he will wear for one week to school (including all public places, track meets, church, etc...) Money = votes. The most money given to a specific hairstyle wins! Money can be given by the students during lunch time or in the office. Please feel free to share on your social media and have many people donate. On May 14th, the winning style will be announced and the haircut will be Live Streamed on our school FB page. 3. The classic Mohawk with beard
4. The Viking undercut with braid (He will braid the beard, too)
