Hi my name is Ruth and I’m Shaving My Head for The Little Princess Trust

I’ve decided to do something completely outside my comfort zone and shave my head to raise money for The Little Princess Trust.

For many children and young people, losing their hair can be one of the most visible and upsetting parts of going through cancer treatment or living with a medical condition. The Little Princess Trust provides real-hair wigs, completely free of charge, to help children and young people feel more like themselves again.

So I’ve decided to give up my hair and turn it into something positive. ❤️

I won’t pretend I’m not nervous. My hair has been part of who I am for a long time, and the thought of seeing it all come off is honestly terrifying. But I’ll have the choice to grow mine back. A child going through treatment doesn’t necessarily get that choice.

If my hair can help make even one child feel a little more confident, comfortable or like themselves again, then it’ll be worth every second.

I’m hoping to raise £800 for The Little Princess Trust.
