My target of $500 will go towards 1 course of therapy for a victim of child sexual abuse. This could have a profound impact on their life and take away the financial pressure when seeking the support they need.

Research shows that Long Term Effects of Child Sexual Abuse result in:

2.4 x increased risk of mental disorders
10 x increased risk of suicidal thoughts
15 x increased risk of suicide attempts

I am lucky enough to say I haven’t been personally affected by this cause. But since the pandemic, it has been at the forefront of my mind that there are many children in Australia, and the World right now, that would rather be anywhere than stuck at home all day with an abuser. It is heart breaking to think that they are so vulnerable and at greater risk in this high pressured world. I hope by spreading awareness and raising money that we can help support someone at this critical stage in their life.
