Hailey's top surgery!

Hi! My name is Hailey, I'm 23 years old, and I am taking the much-needed step to get top surgery.

For many of you reading this, this is sort of a coming out announcement. I have finally started to feel comfortable in my identity as a nonbinary person after years of discomfort that I couldn't quite place. I've hated my breasts since long before I started to consider my relationship with gender, and over the past year or so everything has been clicking into place for me.

I'm done with the dysphoria, dysmorphia, depression, and overall physical and emotional pain my chest causes me. I had a consultation with my surgeon this summer and will be scheduling my surgery as soon as possible.

I am very lucky to have insurance that will cover the majority of the procedure, but there are still costs left over. My insurance company denied coverage for chest wall liposuction, which will cost me $2,900, and I have to pay an additional $3,500 to the surgeon's office.
