Hailey Marie Bassen

Like most parents Nicole & Casey Bassen were basking in the joy of the birth of their daughter Hailey Marie until the morning of August 4th when they noticed something was terribly wrong.  They rushed her by ambulance to the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Randall Children’s Hospital in Portland, Oregon where she was diagnosed with bacterial meningitis.  

For the last 10 days Hailey has been in critical condition with fevers that have been difficult to control.  She has also had to endure multiple risky MRI procedures.  

Several days ago she started to have seizures and the doctors placed her on two seizure meds.

Nicole, Casey and their three-year old son Quinn have been through an emotional roller coaster these last 10 days.  Together with family and friends they've seen tiny positive steps followed by a number of backwards steps.  Nicole & Casey are having an especially difficult time watching their tiny baby girl endure so much.

Besides the emotional strain this tragedy has produced it is also creating a significant financial impact on the family.  As friends of Nicole & Casey we decided to find a way to help them out in any way we can.  Therefore we are asking for you to consider donating whatever amount you can to their GO FUND ME account.   Even a small amount would be gratefully appreciated and can go a long way to helping them through this difficult time.
