Hi friends and family!


These past couple of months have been filled with so much support and prayer to find where God is directing me in this next stage of my life. There has been a tug on my heart to do something more in my walk with Jesus, and fully encounter His love for me. Understanding that the Christian life is more than attending church once, maybe twice a week, I have decided to take a step of faith to live according to the Kingdom of Heaven rather than the Kingdom of this world. 


In September 2018, I will be starting my journey as a missionary by getting training sent through Youth With A Mission (YWAM). The stated purpose of YWAM is “To know God and make Him known”. YWAM, also known as University of the Nations, has over 1,200 missionary training bases around the world, with the purpose to share the Gospel in creative ways. I will be doing my training at the main base in Kona, Hawaii, which is where the Co-founders Loren and Darlene Cunningham lived and started YWAM. While the organization as a whole is broad structured and decentralized, Kona is the biggest and most influential base in the network. 


The base level of training is provided in Discipleship Training School (DTS). I will be studying and training in the Fire and Fragrance DTS, which I will be receiving specialized training in the Music Track department. There are two parts to a YWAM DTS. The first is the lecture phase, which will take place in Kona over the period of three months. During that time I will be learning how to hear God’s voice, dive deeper into the Bible, grow in my musical giftings, and strongly focus on the marriage of prayer and missions. The second phase of the DTS will be the outreach field assignment. I unfortunately won’t know where I am going to be sent until the second week of training, but I am excited to see where I will be sent! During the outreach phase, dozens of teams from F&F will be sent around the world to engage in sharing the gospel to the lost, broken, down trodden and even those who have not yet had the chance to hear the good news of Jesus. 


To live this lifestyle of faith, I need your help! This next season of life will be hard, draining at times, but even more rewarding and glorifying to God in the end. I cannot do it alone and need a team of support so I can fulfill the Great Commission. One of the most important ways you can partner with me through this time, is through prayer. Prayers are needed as I move somewhere new and go to the “Ends of the Earth” with the love of God. One other way to partner with me is financially. For my DTS and Outreach (a six month time span), I need a total  $10,000. This total that I aspire to reach covers the cost of learning, traveling, and housing throughout my time serving at YWAM. I encourage you to pray and ask God if you are the one that He is asking to sow financially into the missionary work. I am so thankful and appreciative of any contribution you are able to make. 


His plans for me are so much bigger than I could ever imagine, and I can’t wait to be challenged and strengthen by God through YWAM. I am ready to engage in what God has in store for me in Kona, so that I will be equipped as an ambassador for Christ to discover what He is doing in the nations.
