Hailey needs a little help to secure a car.

My name is Halley Martin, owner and operator of Wicked Wags mobile pet grooming out of Jaffrey, New Hampshire. My business serves Chesire County, New Hampshire and Windham County, Vermont. My business had thrived in this area and I have met so many incredible and kind people every day, I am so grateful to you all.

I am also a full time home health care giver, caring for elders in their homes, doing several overnights per week. My customers, pet owners and the elderly I work with are asking for a helping hand

Since December my life has felt extremely cruel and full of turmoil. In December 2021 I became ill with several hard to diagnose diseases and Covid 19. I was in and out of the hospital and lost months of work but I managed to catch up and provide those who needed grooming and elder care services. Shortly thereafter my apartment was vandalized, destroying my belongings and causing me to flee to my parents home with my boyfriend. I now live in a small room together with my boyfriend and we make it work.

Mud season came hard in February and while leaving a client's home, my car axle snapped, destroying my shocks and suspension which was thankfully covered by the remainder of my warranty plan but, once again, I lost several weeks work as I did not have a car.

Hardest and saddest of all was my grandpa's passing away in February. He was my best friend in the world and the person who helped me start this business. I was his sole caretaker for him for the last 4 years and, when he was gravely ill and hospitalized, I needed to take some time off to be with him during his last days. I am still grieving and feeling shattered. Without him my business would not exist.

I was committed to return to my business and did so until the beginning of April when my car was again damaged by a traffic cone. It will cost me several thousand dollars for repairs to make it safe to drive. I have exhausted every financial resource and have now had to shut down my pet grooming and my health care business, leaving me devastated and without income; unable to provide the services my clients need. I love what I do and I want so badly to get back to doing it ! My customers and clients have suggested and put together this page as I do not want to ask for money.
