After a series of severe heart attacks, which left her in a coma for 6 weeks, and hospital overall for just shy of 5 months back in 2018, Hailey then struggled with declining heart function and overall health for 8 years - with countless hospital visits, countless times she was resuscitated, and countless times we were told we were going to lose her. Of course, the sass and stubbornness of Hailey meant she would never give up without a fight, and fight she did, until the very end. Hailey sadly lost her battle in the early hours of January 18th 2026, just shy of her 42nd Birthday.

Unable to work for 8 years due to her condition, Hailey didn't have much of any value except a small amount of super remaining in her account, and a run down ford focus to leave to her daughter, Skylar, when she passed away (she also unfortunately no longer had death cover insurance with her super) .

Haileys biggest concern with her declining health was to leave whatever she could for Skylar - to leave her something that can make a positive impact on her life as she grows.

There is enough in her super account to cover the costs of her funeral, however, there have been a number of friends, family and people who had never even met her (friends of her siblings), who have been requesting the opportunity to help contribute to the cost of her funeral, and help her daughter.

Our initial thoughts were that there was no need, as there is enough in her super to cover the costs of her funeral, and leave a very small amount left for Skylar - however after the insistence of a number of people, we decided to put this out there anyway - as every dollar from her super that doesn't get spent on her funeral, will be an extra dollar to put in trust for Skylar to receive when she's older - perhaps to go toward her first car, or be the beginning step toward a house deposit - something her mum can leave for her to help toward her future.

There is absolutely no obligation, as she will receive a fitting sendoff regardless - this has purely been created due to those who have been requesting to help. To those people we are eternally grateful, and every dollar donated here will be put toward Hailey's funeral, resulting in more from her super being put away for Skylar.
