Hailey Anne's journey with her POTS service dog training
Donation protected
Meet Hailey Anne, a vibrant 12-year-old who proudly holds a red belt in karate, enjoys riding bikes, playing with friends, and shopping. Recently, her life has been impacted by Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS), causing symptoms like fatigue, headaches, and frequent fainting. This makes it challenging for her to walk and stand for long periods, change positions from lying/sitting to standing, play, or be active like a child should. All of these activities can cause her to faint, and sometimes it can be so bad that she is in a wheelchair for days due to being unable to stand without losing consciousness.
She just received a puppy, which she will begin to train to become her POTS service dog. While we are so grateful for the opportunity and can pay a great deal in a lump sum upfront, the cost is significant, and we would greatly appreciate any contribution possible.
