In Support of Haileab Beraki

Hello Everyone,

Family and friends of Haileab Beraki are fundraising for him and his family.

Haileab Mhreteab Beraki is a husband and father of two children. This fundraising effort is to assist Haileab with expenses and provide for his family during these trying times since he was the primary breadwinner.

Haileab was involved in a near-death car accident on September 10, 2022, and has been hospitalized. He was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, WA. Thankfully, the doctors were able to revive him. He was admitted as a Level 1 trauma patient due to the severity of his injuries. According to the doctors, it is unclear when he will be released from inpatient care due to the seriousness of his injuries and surgeries.

His surgeries include removing skin from his legs to be applied on both of his arms for severe burns, a pipe installation in place of the damaged artery of the right leg, and installation of a metal screw on the left leg. More surgeries will be scheduled depending on his recovery. He must remain hospitalized to recover from these injuries. He may be unable to return to everyday life due to the traumatic injury. Doctors anticipate that he may be unable to work for several months, if at all.
