On July 29, 2025, my sweet mama, Teresa, fell, hit her head, and suffered an intracranial hemorrhage. The following day, she needed to have a craniotomy, which is a surgery done on the brain to remove the blood that was accumulating there. She has been admitted to Benefis Hospital in Great Falls since then. She has made great progress so far, but she has a very long road of recovery ahead of her. Next week, she will be going to the University of Utah’s rehab unit to get continued physical, occupational, and speech therapy to learn how to walk, talk, swallow, and do normal activities of daily living again.

My stepdad, Russ, has been by her side supporting her through this and will be traveling to Utah with her to continue his support during her recovery. The stay in Utah could be anywhere from 1-3 months, longer if needed.
