How many of us have hiked with Phil over the years? He is a founding member of Hoofing it in Oaxaca. Heading out to explore new trails, always available to sweep on a hike at the last minute, happiest on a trail, telling stories of his dog Sluggo or of "that time when..."

Phil is currently in poor health. For a man who walked in the woods almost his whole life, he is now experiencing extream nerve pain in his legs, which prevents him from caring for himself. He needs 24 hour nursing care, and has the additional financial burden of unexpected medical costs here in Oaxaca.

At this time we expect nursing costs to be $1000 pesos per day, for at least 30 days, plus home visits from medical professionals, and any home alterations are being evaluated.
