Hagar’s Voice was born when 1 advocate chose to stand with 1 survivor as she bravely shared her story. We plan to keep standing with survivors.
The first efforts of Hagar’s Voice have consisted of survivor engagement, prayer response, advocating for survivors and consulting leadership for churches who receive disclosures, and question-asking of many who do this work of care and advocacy.
20 days from now, our team plans to spend 2 days of dreaming, discernment and strategy-building in order to name what Hagar’s Voice will be and do.
Our team is excited to follow God’s leading into the work of Hagar’s Voice. The team is 100% volunteer-based in this development stage and is made up of pastors, survivors, and social workers.
As we shape the future of Hagar’s Voice, we need some financial support! We hope to raise $5000 to cover the costs of bringing our team together on July 28th and 29th. Maybe 250 people to give a one-time gift of $20. Maybe 5 people give $1000. We welcome any solidarity you’ve got! (We do not yet have charitable status, so your gift today is not eligible for a tax receipt.)
