My name is Alejandra Arellano. My father, Jorge Alejandro Arellano, is an 81-year-old father and grandfather who has always lived life with joy, optimism, and a positive spirit.

He was admitted to the hospital due to a pleural effusion. The only option to save his life was surgery, but sadly, he suffered a cardiopulmonary arrest during the procedure.

Today, he is in the Intensive Care Unit with severe heart disease and a possible diagnosis of lung cancer. He urgently needs additional medical tests, another pleural surgery, and a pacemaker to keep his heart functioning.

Unfortunately, Jorge does not have medical insurance, and we are struggling to cover the growing hospital expenses. There is still a long road ahead before he can leave the ICU, and the costs of his treatment—including surgery, the pacemaker, medications, and ongoing medical care—are overwhelming.
