Hafiz Hamad & Family Fundraiser

We are respectfully requesting your support and assistance for Hafiz Hamad and his family who was diagnosed with Stage Four Cancer (Metastatic Gastric Cancer) and consequently passed away on August 30, 2023. The heart breaking circumstance has turned the family’s world upside down and has left the family shaken in terms of financial security in the short term and long term. Like many first generation immigrants to Canada, Hafiz was the sole bread earner for his family and working labor jobs to support his family with no job insurance plan or any other financial plan to rely on. As dedicated family man and model citizen, Hafiz went about his business in an honest manner to build a bright future for his family in the way he knew best…put his head down and work hard, treat people with respect, and always give a helping hand to others around him.

Since immigrating to Calgary in 2007 with his young family, if he was not working hard to make a life for his family, he was involved in charitable societies supporting other first generation immigrants to integrate into Canadian life. His time was precious and he generously shared his time, smile, and his wonderful sense of humor with others in need of support.

Our heart goes out to his wife (Zarina) and his three sons (Mustafa, Mushtaba, and Murtaza). We respectfully request your support and donation to give a helping hand to ease their financial situation so they can focus on their family, and provide them time to bounce back as a family.

This request is through his friends and community, with acknowledgment from his loving family. May their journey and next chapter be consoled through your generosity.
