My name is Haelyn, but in the ring I’m known as “The Phoenix.” I’m 14 years old, and Muay Thai isn’t just a sport to me — it’s my passion, my discipline, and my purpose.
Over the past few years, I’ve dedicated myself to training and competing at the highest level. With the incredible support of my community, I was proud to bring home Gold at the 2024 IFMA Youth World Championships and Bronze in 2025, representing Team Canada on the world stage.
Now, I have the honour of doing it again.
In 2026, I have been specially selected and will be competing at the IFMA Youth World Championships in Greece and, for the very first time, at the WBC Muay Thai Festival in Bangkok, Thailand — where I’ll be chasing another gold medal and competing against the very best youth athletes in the world.

Representing Canada with Pride
Travelling across the world to compete is an incredible blessing and life-changing experience. However, most of the costs — including flights, accommodations, registration fees, and specialized training — are paid out of pocket. While we’re grateful for some support from Muay Thai Ontario, the expenses add up quickly.

More Than Medals
As a young female fighter, opportunities to compete at this level are rare and incredibly important. Traveling internationally gives me the experience I need to grow in this sport and continue building a future in Muay Thai.
Muay Thai has given me confidence, discipline, and strength — not just physically, but mentally. I hope that by chasing my dreams, I can inspire other young athletes — especially young girls — to believe in themselves and pursue what they love fearlessly.
Every time I step into the ring, I carry more than just my gloves —
I carry my team, my country, and everyone who believes in me.
