The teacher beside me is called Agnes, one of the kindest people I have met. Agnes has dedicated 10 years of her life so far, into teaching, showing kindness, understanding and a true love and care for each of her students every day. Despite the resource challenges she faces Agnes believes the best way to help children is with patience rather than physical punishment, an unfortunate reality in this part of the world. Even with a class of 44 students, Agnes appears able to give each child her undivided attention and tells us she feels blessed to have volunteers working with her.

A group of us would love to try and raise some money to put towards some teaching resources for her class, as well as many items her own 10 year old son is unable to access.

We would love to try and provide pencils and rubbers, pencil cases, colouring books, crayons, sharpeners, posters for the walls, chalk, marking pens, rulers, and some basic organising items like a dustbin, and some pencil pots.

Living conditions in Tanzania are very different to many Western countries, and so we hope to offer help and support in any way possible. We would be so grateful if we could gather some donations to help us do so, to better assist not just these children, but the whole school for a brighter future.
