STARKS STRONG

Brice Starks was involved in a serious ATV accident on May 2nd.  In addition to prayers, we'd like to request that you consider donating to this gofundme account to help the Starks family in this time of uncertainty.  They have no idea what is going to happen from one minute to the next with Brice's medical condition.  For those of you that are friends with Tori, Chris, Savannah, and Brice on Facebook, you can see the outpouring of love for this amazing family!  Let's all pull together to give them a little more peace of mind so they can focus on Brice and his healing. Information From Tori:
Brice was in an ATV accident early Saturday morning, May 2nd. He was life flighted to U of L Hospital. He is in a medically induced coma and this will be a very long road to recovery. He is currently stable but in critical condition. We are asking all friends and classmates of Brice to BE BRAVE. We are asking everyone to PRAY HARD. Our boy is fighting for his life. Love and thanks to all, you will never, ever know how much we appreciate everyone of you.

The good news:  Brice's organs were/are functioning.  The bad news:  Brice's lungs have been bruised so bad he has been in a medically induced coma since Saturday morning.  The medical induced coma is to help his lungs heal from the trauma sustained in the accident.  Doctors originally told us Brice could be on a ventilator for up to 7 days.  It was discovered the ventilator was doing more harm than good and a procedure called ECMO was implemented.  This is a VERY dangerous and complicated procedure, but it's working!
