The week of March 20th, the Carter’s lives were turned upside down when their youngest daughter Hadley (3 years old) was diagnosed with Stage 3 Rhabdomyosarcoma (a rare muscle cancer). In the last few weeks she has already gone through several surgeries and is beginning her long 9 month journey of chemotherapy and radiation. So far she’s proving to be the rockstar that she is and taking each treatment on strong and going back to her ornery self right after.

If you know this family, you know how wonderful and big their hearts are. Ryan and Danny are always going out of their way to help family and friends and this is now a time when they will need all of us to help lift them up to get through this! The next 9 months will be hard on everyone especially Hadley’s older sister Kenlie (4 years old) who is used to having her sister by her side playing at all times. 

This fundraiser is to help the Carter family focus all of their efforts towards recovery for Hadley. They will have a 2 hour roundtrip drive once a week, some of those being overnight stays at the hospital. Starting at week 13, they will begin radiation therapy which will be 5 days a week for 6 weeks. They are still unsure which hospital this will take place at, so there is a possibility of needing temporary housing during those 6 weeks. The funds received will go towards medical expenses, gas, food, etc. We all wish we could take the pain away that this family is feeling. No amount of money will do that, but our hope is that with this fundraiser we can help eliminate a small fraction of the stress that they are experiencing every single day.
