Hadlee, Shane, Kayla and Jensin

Hello, we are the staff at Lerch RV and we fundraising to help our dear friends, the Hosler/Huffman Family.

From Hadlee’s mother Kayla: “Wednesday morning (March 6) we flew to Florida for our vacation, as soon as we got off the plane Hadlee started moaning with every breath she took and fighting to breathe. I took her to an ER where they immediately put her on oxygen, did chest and stomach x-rays and started breathing treatments. They informed me she had double pneumonia and was in respiratory distress. They transferred her by ambulance to Advent Health Orlando and put her in the pediatric cardiac ICU. Her left lung was totally filled with fluid and not functioning, her heart rate was in the 180s. Had I not brought her in, she would have died. Thursday morning they placed a chest tube to start draining the fluid, it's still draining and the fluid that's coming out is incredibly infected and there's is a ridiculous amount. This brave girl is still fighting and we have no idea how long we will be here.”

Update, March 13: Hadlee is still in Advent Health Orlando with her parents by her side. Hadlee hasn’t been responding to the different antibiotics. Kayla and Shane haven’t been able to get into the Ronald McDonald house and their bills are piling up. The GoFundMe money will go to cover their expenses, eventual medical bills, and any lost wages.
