Hey friends, I’m creating a GoFundMe to help my best friend who lost both their home and their car in an accident today. Hades was driving through Evergreen and came around a corner to a truck stopped in the middle of the road with no brake lights, no turn signal, and no hazards. They collided with the car and their car is now totaled. Hades lives in their car so their two dogs and cat were also in the car and luckily sustained no injuries. I just took Hades to urgent care to get their shoulder checked out, but overall they all walked away physically sound which I am immensely grateful for.

While an investigation will need to take place to decide fault due to the circumstances of the accident, after the crash Hades was informed that the other driver is uninsured and driving on a suspended license. (To add insult to injury, this man also hit one of Hades’s dogs when she tried to greet him when he approached before the police arrived) In the face of a likely lengthy process to receive any sort of payout from insurance, I am starting this GoFundMe to help Hades raise money to put a down payment on a new vehicle so that they have somewhere to live as well as transportation to get to work.
