Hi my name is MK Lynde, I am a Canadian mom trying to help families who are suffering in Gaza.

 I met Hadeel through my activist friends and new friends in Gaza and I have been getting to know her over direct message and through Facetime calls (when she has power to use her phone) . I am collecting money on behalf of Hadell Khalid, her husband Mohammed Zeden and their 3 beautiful children, Alma, 11, Heatham , 7 and little Sand who is 2. He has known nothing but war, poverty and bombing for his whole life and yet he still smiles and laughs when he sees my chihuahua on our facetime calls. They are living in a damaged tent in Khan Younis near Nasser Hospital and are in desperate need of food and clean drinking water. They haven't had bread for 4 days as I create this fundraiser. Heatham walks for water for the family every day. Hadeel does not know how far away the water is, but he is gone for 30 minutes and she worries for him the whole time he is gone. This alone breaks my heart as a mother. Hadeel was an English student studying at university before the war and she says they had a beautiful home and she was very happy. Heatham was in kindergarten dreaming of becoming a dentist and Alma wanted to be a teacher.
