Dearest Friends,
While living in EY, every week 17-year-old Malky, born in Yerushalayim, came to help me clean for Shabbos. From the very first time I met Malky, I was taken by her unbelievable refined personality, middos, humility and remarkable simchos hachayim. All the money she and her sisters earn by cleaning, goes straight to her father to help support their very large family. Her father learns all day, and her mother supports the family by cooking meals in their small tiny kitchen (approx. 6.5x13ft total) for a yeshiva and helping people make their simchos.
It was one Thursday night, when I was schmoozing with Malky about her apartment, she told me they live in an apartment that consists of 2 bedrooms, a tiny kitchen and a small dining room. My eyes nearly popped out when I heard that she is one of 18 siblings bl"ih. She told me how they slept 2 in a bed turning the house into bedrooms for the night. What struck me most was the total and complete happiness of these real special people.
B”H, Malky is a kallah, and the wedding is very soon, my wish is to help them. I‘m asking you to contribute, to this big mitzvah, of hachnas kallah.
May you be blessed with good health, nachas, and may Hashem repay you Kiflei Kifayim.
Best regards, and most sincerely yours,
Chana Kleinbard
