"It's not how much we give, but how much love we put into giving.” -Mother Teresa
Together with the friends and co-workers of Bronx Lebanon Hospital, we are here to extend our support to Our Dearest friend, supervisor, mentor, educator, leader, and a true Angel of a person, Leslie, and her loving husband, US Army Veteran, Felix.
Last night, while home alone sleeping, Leslie survived a FIRE that destroyed their new apartment and ALL of her and her husband's furniture, personal belongings and irreplaceable memories. Now, a week before Christmas and their plans to celebrate in their new apartment are no more.
Fortunately, Leslie did not suffer any physical injuries, but her heart will bear the emotional pain of losing her home. After suffering the great loss of her beloved Grandmother, friend, and just last year, their baby daughter, Leslie has had her faith tested. Although she may feel lost during this difficult time, Leslie holds a great Faith in God and through her prayers and those of others will help her get to a better place. As a social worker who helps the mentally ill in the community, as a friend who listens to our own personal struggles and helps anyway she can, as a strong, resilient, dedicated, compassionate individual who helps all those in need, we ask for your assistance in returning a good deed to her and her family during this holiday season.
Every little bit helps. Please help us in anyway you can. They will need to find a new place to live, furniture, bedding, clothing, shoes, basic necessities for surviving daily living, etc. Even though we cannot put a price on the memories of the precious items lost from their home, we anticipate reaching our goal of $5k to assist Leslie and Felix rebuild a new home. Any assistance and support will be greatly appreciated.
Happy Holidays to all! And let's remember to help those in need.
Thank you!
Sincerely,
Leslie's Work Family
