Hello friends and fam, players and playettes… Here's the deal: Last Week, I had my laptop and DJ gear stolen from my parents car. I usually NEVER leave my laptop anywhere while Im out, but I had just come from a gig at Regency Ballroom and afterwards, Ironically, I thought my gear would be safer hidden in my parents car than in the greenroom at 1015 Folsom. Boy was I wrong :(
The bag contained multiple pieces of DJ gear, but the worst of all, it contained my production laptop with ALL OF MY MUSIC PRODUCTIONS, REMIXES AND DJ MIXES [Sad Tomas]
The timing isn't good. I just secured a new manager, have been performing DJ gigs across the city, and was looking forward to producing a large amount of new work. I am a freelance artist by trade, I don't make a lot of money, and I really cant afford to buy a new computer right now. But I also cant afford NOT to have one! I need a production computer now to do my work. This loss is a huge setback, but with your help, it can be more like a speed-bump.
What the campaign will pay for… 1. a production laptop and 2. minimal DJ equipment to continue to perform. All of the gear I lost in the theft was over $3000, the current goal of $2000 is just meant to get back on my feet.
I normally don't like asking people for any type of help, but I feel I am in an important place in my career and I really need gear so I can continue my work. I understand that there are causes out there that are much more important in the grand scale of humanity. But music is the world to me, if you've ever met me you know my entire life revolves around it. I need this gear to do my work, it really means everything.
SO PLEASE, contribute to the campaign… Or if you cant, maybe just be a homie and share this on social media. I am really just thankful that people listen to my music on a daily basis in the first place. Seriously, everyone who has come to a show, played my music or supported me in any way, I really appreciate you. I know a lot of my friends aren't rich (yet), so really ANYTHING will be appreciated, and anyone who donates money will receive my upcoming EP and summer mix as soon as it gets released later this summer (I’ll be collecting emails). Help a brotha out! (And thank you to whomever read this whole thing :)
