This is a fundraiser for Habib's veterinary treatment.

A white cat had been reported by locals as thin, dirty and matted. He had been seriously neglected over a long period of time.

I quickly found the cat's owners who thankfully surrendered him to me. I didn't have any free rescue space myself so asked around and "Glossop Cat Rescue" kindly offered to take him in.

I'm now trying to help them to cover Habib's vet costs through this campaign.

All proceeds go to Glossop Cat Rescue, not me (Tiffany Dodd).

I have linked the short video above that I made and posted on Instagram and Facebook showing his rescue.

Concerned locals were keen to show me photos of what poor Habib looked like seven years ago.

He is now dirty, matted, thin and in pain.

Habib's owners told me he couldn't eat because he has bad teeth so they just fed him milk.

VET VISIT 1:

Habib only weighed 4kg and should have been about 6kg.

The vet initially thought his kidneys were enlarged but blood tests came back relatively normal. It's now thought his kidneys just appear prominent because he is so thin.

IMMEDIATE TREATMENT NEEDED:

Habib will need a dental. It's difficult to tell how many teeth will need removing until he is actually under anesthetic. He will also be neutered, cleaned and de-matted.

We have estimated the final vet bill to be £1500. This includes the first vet visit with blood tests.

I'm sure Habib (now called Oliver) will feel everyone's love and support. He has had a difficult life. it would be lovely to turn things around for him.

Thank you for your donation.
