Hey I'm Diamond Ellis, I'm Brandy Findley's daughter.

Earlier this year, our lives were turned upside down when my incredible mom, Brandy, found a lump in her throat. What we initially thought was a simple blocked salivary gland, treatable with antibiotics, proved to be something far more serious. Despite several months of treatment, the swelling persisted, leading to a surgery on June 6th.

It was during that surgery that doctors delivered the devastating news: it was cancer. While they initially believed they had removed it all, follow-up scans revealed the cancer had spread. On July 16th, specialists at UMMC in Jackson confirmed that the cancer likely originated in her lymph nodes.

Why We're Raising Money

Mom is now facing another critical surgery on July 25th to remove more cancer from her body and lymph nodes. This journey has been incredibly challenging, not just emotionally and physically, but financially as well. Despite having insurance, we've been met with constant denials for scans and procedures, forcing my mom to pay out-of-pocket for nearly everything so far. The truth is, we have no idea what the final medical bills will look like, but we know they will be substantial.
