Walker Family Support

Rick Walker (husband, father, veteran, sheriff's department dispatcher) suffered a stroke on August 11.  He is in the hospital in San Francisco, 125 miles away from his home in Lower Lake, California, and will likely be there for another 4-6 weeks, followed by 3-4 weeks of rehab.

His wife Jill is juggling caring for their family (4 children still at home) while driving back and forth each day to be with Rick as he recovers.  This has placed a financial burden on their family, in addition to the emotional stress.  

The daily costs for gas, bridge tolls, parking, and food are adding up rapidly, and additional costs for lodging if needed will increase their expenses during the next few months of Rick's recovery.
