For those of us who have the privilege of having Tara Joy DiDomenico in our life know what a beautiful, young, loving, smart, caring, funny, adventurous, charismatic, hardworking, genuine, etc., etc., woman she is. At 25 years old, Tara lives in Lancaster City with her best friend Kelsey Curcio. She works for Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Homesale Realty as an Internet Marketing Specialist. She attended Temple University completing a Business Marketing degree in May 2013.
On Tuesday April 5th, unbeknownst to all of us, tragedy struck as Tara was found on the floor in her bedroom having a seizure. Luckily, her roommate Kelsey found her and was able to quickly call for help. Tara suffered from a stroke and was flown from Lancaster to UPenn in critical condition. Unfortunately, some of the best doctor’s in the nation were at a loss for an explanation of what happened to our girl Tara, natural to her personality, always keeping things interesting and making us work for that doe. She was put on a ventilator and was heavily sedated.
Wednesday was a roller coaster, as they had found blood clots in her brain – an issue the doctors have been struggling to remove. They had to go through a few rounds of tubes to drain fluid from her brain due to some complications, cause our girl is trying to keep us on our toes. POSITIVES that came out of Wednesday were her beautiful big blue eyes are now reacting to the doctors tests which gives us so much hope to see them again soon as before they were dilated, which wasn't a good sign.
Thursday was a bit different. Unfortunately the tube to drain the fluid was not functioning well enough on its own, which lead them to perform emergency surgery on her, a Thrombectomy. Against some odds, the surgery ended with good news (!!!) (obviously as Tra is a fighting champ!) – so the next 24 hours are crucial. We will keep you posted on daily updates.
We created this GoFundMe account for our girl Tara to help her and her family out. Tara is one of the most hard-working people I have ever met, always working 2 jobs to make that $$. We appreciate any help that we can get and I know that Tara and her family will be so grateful. We understand tough times, but would hate for this amazing person to come out of this with a recovery ahead and have another issue to worry about, so anything and everything is so deeply appreciated
Sending so much love, positive thoughts, prayers, and good vibes to our girl, Tara Joy
