Morgan Witmer was the passenger in a horrible car accident that occured as she was going to Kish College to attend her nursing class from Sycamore High School.
Morgan suffered a broken neck, two collapsed lungs, 6 broken ribs and many other injuries. She was flown via Lifeline to OSF in Rockford where she was in a medically induced coma for her injuries. They were not sure if Morgan would survive. Yet with her strength and stamina she woke up. She has paralysis on her left side and is now in Chicago at a rehabilitation facility working hard to be able to walk and function again. The medical bills have been tremendous and we are hoping our community will be able to help the Witmer Family with the overwhelming bills. There will also be a fundraiser held for Morgan at their family restaurant, O'Leary's Restaurant and Pub on December 18th from 6-9pm.
