Help My Mom Save Her Home While Battling Cancer
Hi my name is Ashley and I'm reaching out with a heavy heart to say. My mom is currently battling cancer while facing the heartbreaking possibility of losing her home she's lived in for the past 23 years.
A little of her story:
What began as a hospital visit for severe pneumonia turned into a life-changing diagnosis—not one, but three kinds of cancer. Her throat cancer was so advanced she needed a tracheostomy to breathe. Since then, she has endured a double mastectomy, radiation, and chemotherapy for her lung, neck, and breast. Through it all, she has remained so strong and positive—it’s truly remarkable.
On top of her health struggles, my mom is also fighting to keep her home. She is on SSI and lives on a very limited income. The co-buyer of her home—who hasn’t contributed to the mortgage, repairs, or any expenses and moved out over 8 years ago—is now demanding to be bought out or they will force the sale of the house. Despite everything, they still hold legal rights, and my mom is at risk of losing the one safe place she has left.
As her daughter, I’ve done everything I can. I’m a full-time working mom of two, and over the past year I’ve poured close to $20,000 into legal fees, repairs, and costs to help her keep her home. We are so close, but I’m completely tapped out financially.
This house isn’t just four walls or a roof over her head it’s her comfort, her safe place, and the heart of so many family memories. Losing it now, when she needs stability and peace more than ever, would be devastating.
We are humbly asking for help from anyone who can donate share or spread the word. No amount is to small and every dollar will go directly toward helping my mom save her home.
If you would also like to support in another way:
I’m also selling my custom and premade tumblers. Each one is handmade with love, and all proceeds go directly toward this cause
