Welcome! The Short answer is: Yes, Riding to 48 states in 10 Days is CRAZY!
Soon you’ll read why.
I am a Hard-worker, Technologist, Father of 4, Husband, and adventurist. In 2009 after purchasing my first street bike I knew a passion was lit and burning bright. Each year since I have been riding longer and longer rides. In the summer of 2015 I purchased a Honda Goldwing in Denver and rode it home “Iron Butt Style”.

Iron Butt is an organization that certifies log distance trips on motorcycles in extremely short durations. In this case the IBA certified my trip from Denver to St. Louis, I rode from St. Louis to Cheyeanne, WY, across Nebraska, to Iowa City, IA, then south to my Home in Lake St. Louis, MO. in just under 19 Hours @ 1,210 Miles. After the Denver trip, I have been reading and thinking about some of the most extreme rides. I am about to turn the big 4.0 and it seems that as I am not getting younger, Version 3.9 has served me well but its time. The spirits say its OK to go for a LONG ride, my wife agrees as well…. My heart needs it, my soul needs it and its an adventure that simply cannot be passed up!

So, What’s th e plan? Well, first if anyone wants to go, Please let me know. Depending on your riding experience, you may be able to go. Over the course of the next 7 months, I will be planning, Prepping and thinking about safety, stops, conditions, and thinking about the people that can’t so easily decide to go…. Wait What? Well, I live a blessed life, Hard working and you get what you put into it… Life is a blessing. Some however aren’t as lucky as I am to be mobile or to have other limitations that M.S. has imparted many with.

So, while it will warm my heart, I fully plan to raise money and talk about Multiple Sclerosis.
Multiple Sclerosis affects people in the prime of their lives, between the ages of 20 and 50. Every hour someone is newly diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. More than 2.5 million people worldwide live with this unpredictable disease. The symptoms of MS are different for everyone – the only certainty is that it will affect yet another person every hour of every day.
Those that knew Mrs. Lorain Johnson and those that know Valarie realize how MS absolutely robs people of an easy life and many freedoms. Please Donate! My employer will contribute if you do! Thanks @ Kronos.

I will MAKE MY MARK and do my part to make a difference in the lives of those living with MS. By supporting me you too will MAKE YOUR MARK in this pursuit.

Let’s Move Forward Together
Currently there is no cure for MS. The money that is raised will be used to find the cause, treatment, and ultimately the cure of multiple sclerosis. The money is also used to provide education, information, direct financial support, and scholarships to individuals and families living with MS.

I plan to roll out on Friday May 16, 2016 and hit my final state on or before May 22nd 2016, 10 Days. In the coming 188 days or so of this writing, I will be posting a lot on the progress.
Here is a rough draft of the proposed route…. It is missing some “Fun Stops”.

I will be Starting in Oklahoma and ending in Colorado.
