Jing Jing Gourmet has been a part of the Downtown Palo Alto community since 1986. Due to recent developments regarding COVID-19, Santa Clara County has fittingly ordered restrictions on various restaurants operations.
Since December, sales have been increasingly negatively impacted due to the breaking news from China. Then, like many other businesses, ours was also greatly affected by the Shelter-In-Place order. In addition to this, depending on how the next few weeks play out, we may need to close down completely for the protection of our employees.
For now, our sales have been limited to to-go orders, deliveries, and Love & Support packages. Even though the restaurant is not conducting business as usual, employee paychecks, rent payments, utility, insurance, material costs to make meals, and maintenance expenses are still due.
We, both as an institution and as individual employees, have already applied for government-funded disaster relief funds. However, they are unfortunately not guaranteed at this time.
In this trying time, we ask for your support to for donations that will help us cover the cost of keeping our family business afloat. We appreciate all the support we have received from our wonderful community. Thank you!
