On Saturday, April 6th, our dear friends Tina and Rob Ryan’s home caught fire. Tina’s mother, Marilyn, was in the home when the fire broke out and is currently in critical condition in SIUH’s Burn Unit. She is not doing well, all prayers for her recovery are appreciated.

Tina and Rob have spent the last 10 years dreaming of rebuilding this home that generations of Tina’s family grew up in and less than a month after moving in and getting ready to welcome their second child, it was gone.

Tina is a beloved member of the PS 56 family and Rob is a supervisor for DSNY; they are loving parents to their 3 year old son Robbie and Tina is 9 months pregnant with their baby girl.

Thank you to all who have reached out to see how they can support this beautiful family, we are creating this page for just that.

All donations are beyond appreciated and will be used to help secure the family a rental to live in while their home is being built back after the fire, replacing furniture, clothing, and home necessities that were lost to fire, and helping cover the the care of Marilyn over the long course of her recovery road ahead (medical bills). Tina, Rob and their whole family are overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and support in the wake of this tragedy.

This fundraiser was made by Kelly, Danielle, Shannon, Ashley, Kristina and Patrice- Tina's best friends since grade-school, Rob's biggest fans since the minute he walked into our lives and Marilyn's daughters by proxy.
