Sunday, December 20, 2015 Richard Cheung was taken from us unexpectedly. Rich was only 42 and leaves behind his wife Dara and two children, Sam (12 years) and Bailey (10 years). Rich was an amazing man so full of life. We all have such great memories of Rich whether it is on the field with this die hard soccer player, or building a float for the community parade, or attending a metal concert, or just hanging out with his family and having a beer. This page has been set up in his honor to help raise money for his family to help cover his medical expenses and the funeral costs.

A few months ago, Rich was diagnosed with pulmonary embolism (aka blood clots). During the diagnosis, the doctors also found he had a rare disease called Moyamoya. At the beginning of December 2015, he had surgery performed to treat the potential effects from the Moyamoya disease. Although the recovery from the Moyamoya surgery was going well, on Sunday December 20, he was feeling ill and was rushed to the Emergency Room. After several attempts, Rich was not able to be saved and passed. An official report has not been released yet of the cause of the death.
