Morgan’s medical fund

My little T-pot, man he sure can light up a room and command your attention. His one liners too, they will have you rolling for days. He may only be 6 but he will tell you a life long story and draw you in quicker than a good book. This little guy is tough and ready to rumble, and now he’s fighting his biggest battle yet. On January 23 I sent Morgan (T-pot) to school with his brother Wyatt just like I would any other day and proceeded to my new job.

Morgan was playing tag with some friends, like any other little boy when he fell off the playground equipment and hit his head. I received a call from the school saying he had fallen and was in pain and complaining from his fall.  It felt like a simple call about what I thought was a bump on the head but quickly turned in to a mother's worst nightmare. We rushed him to the hospital as he had started vomiting and was in and out of consciousness. He was checked over and sent for a CT scan. We spent several hours in the ER and then admitted for observation over night as he was still very concused. As the night went on T-pot did start to perk up a little and was able to answer some simple questions but still could not get the vomiting under control the following morning.

Friday afternoon everything change rapidly. He started complaining of a lot of pain and became lethargic. The pain quickly grew and he became increasingly distressed.  Unable to soothe him in any way we called for the doctor to come back in. Then the next thing I know, we were being life flighted to Kalispell where he became nonresponsive. Upon arrival he was rushed to CT and we were told about the severity of the issue and the evasive surgery needed to try to save him.

T-pot had suffered a skull fracture and an epidural bleed which manifested to a clot form creating pressure to the brain. This pressure lead to a hemorrhagic stroke, and other brain damage, to include a portion of his brain stem. T-Pot fought hard and survived the surgery. He is still in critical condition at this time with a dedicated staff monitoring all indicators to better his chance of survival.  Morgan will have a very long road to recovery and we still do not know how extensive the damage is, or what challenges he will face.  All we can do at the point is wait as T-pot fights through this.  It started just like any other day, I so want to hold him. I miss our snuggle time and I'm left to hurry up and wait.  As Morgan fights this uphill battle mom will be patient.  I will wait as long as it takes to hold my little T-pot again.
