Honduras flood relief from hurricane Eta
Donation protected
As many of you know hurricane Eta just went through Central America dumping devastating amounts of rain. This rain funneled down the mountains and into the cities in the poorest towns in Honduras, Guatemala, and Salvador. The rivers overflowed and many thousands of people have lost everything they owned. They have no clothes, no food, no where to go and no money at all. The government is not even able to help.
We are gathering donations of clothes and food to send to Honduras, where Noel is from to be given to the churches and charities and distributed from there to the towns hit hardest.
We have had such an overwhelming response and received so much to send, we can now fill entire containers of goods. We have had volunteers to help sort and pack these clothes into boxes and put them on pallets.
We are trying to raise money to send the containers down. These cost thousands of dollars in the trucking, shipping and taxes and duty to receive. We are hoping to cover some of these costs with this gofundme.
Noel and I will go down and meet the containers and aid in the distribution and ground work that is needed.
If you cannot give money, please consider looking through your closet for anything you don't wear. We are still accepting any donations and can come pick it up if needed.
Update::
We are still taking donations until Wednesday 11/18.
