My dear brother-in-law, Jim Austin was diagnosed with Thyroid cancer a few years ago. He has fought this battle by undergoing surgery, excruciating radiation treatments and experimental cancer drugs to fight this horrible disease. Jim has recently started another round of radiation which has forced him to go on short-term disability through his employer. The company that Jill (his wife and my beautiful sister) works for has cut their employees hours. Between the costs of medication and treatment; coupled with the lost hours of work, I would like to help them ease their burden by starting this remarkable fund.
