We're Trying to Fix Don's BIG Heart
Donation protected
Don & Marcia Singsaas of Fairbanks, Alaska
Two kinder, more generous and selfless individuals would be hard to find. Married for over 30 years now, this couple has given so much of themselves to others, family and strangers alike. Gifts of their time and of their money as well. Even when to do so meant that they themselves would do without.
Now on vacation visiting with family in upper Michigan, Don was struck down with a heart attack yesterday morning (08/01/2015), far from home. In just the first 24 hours one emergency room visit, one cross-state medivac helicopter ride and two surgeries have occurred. He is now in his second day of ICU care.
Certainly insurance will cover a substantial portion, but the balance due afterward is expected to also be significant. At this early stage, it is yet unknown how this will affect Don’s job and earning ability. In initiating this plea, his immediate and extended family are hoping to ease the financial impact, and thus the related stress issues for both Don and Marcia in the aftermath, so that they may both focus on his complete recovery.
Almost never having asked others for help, especially financially; they will no doubt both be mad as HECK at us when they find out we did so on their behalf. We'll just learn to live with that. Ten bucks. Twenty bucks. Whatever the Spirit inside moves you to give. It is all a blessing given, and a blessing received. Thank You!
