3/14/26 UPDATE
As of February 2026 the laws in Louisiana, Mississippi, and Texas prohibit any immigrant detained in those states bond unless they entered the United states on a VISA. My father has court on the 24th that will result in his deportation. My step mother will be moving to Mexico to be with my father and start the lengthy process of citizenship in mexico. We are looking a a minimum of 2 years before my father will be home again.
Please help us pay for immigration lawyers!!! On sunday 3/8 My father (Mateo Flores Ponce) was on the way to a church meeting when he was pulled over and arrested. On the morning of Monday 3/9 he appeared in court and the judge decided to call ICE. He will be moved to detention center in Louisiana in a few days. We must get a lawyer in Louisiana to hopefully help us pay a detention bond. After we pay the bond we will have to get a lawyer in Arkansas to help us get him legal citizenship. My Father is the sole provider for his household and wife. My step mother Katie has a bad back and ankle. We are going to have to sell their house for us to have a chance at getting him home. We will have to sell the food truck that has been their dream. The food truck they worked so hard for. On top of the food truck he's a man with two jobs. When not at work he’s outside on a hike. Always in nature. He’s dedicated his life to taking care of his two daughters and living a quiet life. He’s not a criminal he’s a Father, Husband, and Grandfather!
If you know my father you know he can make anyone in the room laugh. If you don’t know my father just know you would like him. He’s a good man with people who care very deeply for him. Anything and Everything is so so appreciated. Please help us bring our father home <3
