Help Luis Fight Cancer

Upon entering this year, my brother Luis Padilla was diagnosed with fibrosarcoma. Fibrosarcoma is a rare and aggressive form of cancer that attacks the body's soft tissue, and it was found in his left forearm. Luis had to undergo surgery to remove the tumor in his arm, followed by another reconstructive surgical procedure to replace the missing tissue from his arm with part of his leg. Fortunately, these surgeries were both successful, thanks to some amazing doctors. However, this was only the beginning of what would be an intense fight against cancer and all of the costs surrounding treatment.

Luis is currently undergoing painful and aggressive cycles of chemotherapy to combat the cancer. For those that know Luis, he is a true fighter not just in the ring but in life too, and this has been his toughest bout yet. Before his diagnosis, he was always in the gym working out and practicing his martial arts with the dream of fighting professionally and winning titles. With his wedding on the way, he is doing everything to beat this cancer, live an everyday life with his wonderful fiance, Kristen, and get back to what he loves doing.

These last three months have been incredibly difficult for our family, especially Luis and Kristen. Luis cannot work during this time, and they have been digging into savings to cover bills, commutes and parking, special dietary needs, and living expenses.
