Good afternoon,

We're reaching out to ask for your support for a truly incredible woman. Today, Cassie was driving her usual route for her job when she became an innocent victim of a senseless road rage shooting. She was simply in the wrong place at the wrong time, and now she is facing a long, difficult recovery from a gunshot wound.

Cassie is truly a hero. After she sustained a gunshot wound to her back, she was still able to maneuver the van to safety as it contained several adults with developmental disabilities in the backseat. Even in her toughest moments, she was still thinking about the safety and well being of others.

Cassie works at Rising Sun, where she devotes her days to supporting individuals with disabilities. She brings patience, compassion, and lots of Taylor Swift singing (if you know, you know). She is a daughter, sister, dog mom, aunt, girlfriend, and friend to many.
