It was the day after and we were still trying to breathe. The detectives words stole our hearts and our only thoughts were "this can't be real." Big man with a big smile..we love you. Early Tuesday morning our family received words from a Phoenix detective that changed our lives forever. "I'm sorry to inform you but..." These were not words from a script but a reality that resulted in the loss of a son, father, brother, and cherished family member. 

Steve Anthony Griffin was brutally stabbed and killed then left in a parking lot for security to find hours later. When we heard the details of his killing it was hard to imagine and harder to accept. Within hours after the investigation, Phoenix detective had located a suspect. That gave us some closure as we tried to process the loss of a dad who just a week earlier was preparing barbecue and proudly showing off his 2 year old granddaughter.

After Steve's sudden death that left us all victims, we are reaching out to the community for support. We want to raise $10,000 to cover funeral and other related expenses. During this time of quarantine we are forced   to be creative as we strive to be healthy and safe. With many churches still closed the cost  for a service is higher. Your help will make the difference. Steve was a big loving man with a   smile that touched all our hearts. He is missed. Any contribution is greatly appreciated.
