This fundraiser is on behalf of BMHS Soccer with the goal of helping one our soccer family members, Austin Capone. Austin is currently living in California after relocating there last summer. He started a new job in early December and was flourishing with his new company. On February 4th, he fell ill and was subsequently diagnosed with cancer. Within days, he underwent surgery and is now recovering. Although his new employer has been extremely supportive, Austin will be unable to work for a significant period of time while he recuperates from surgery and undergoes chemotherapy. Given his situation, we would like to do whatever we can to help out one of our own who has given so much to the BMHS soccer program.
Austin has been a key person in BMHS boys soccer for years. Since graduating from college, Austin has been a volunteer assistant coach throughout several fall soccer seasons, he has also stepped up to coach the summer league team for the past several years. Year after year, he jumped through hoops to secure a home field on which to play the league games as well as organizing training sessions, and dealing with the summer league officials. His enthusiasm as a volunteer coach is merely a continuation of the enthusiasm and dedication that was so apparent during the four-years he played with the BMHS soccer program, earning a selection as an MVC All Star.
Austin has done so much for BMHS soccer and we would like to return the favor by supporting him during these difficult times.
