Support Dean in His Battle Against Multiple Sclerosis
Dean is courageously facing a significant health challenge and needs our support. He is embarking on a journey to undergo an autologous haemopoietic stem cell transplant (Auto-HSCT), which involves immune-suppressing high-dose chemotherapy. This complex treatment is crucial in his fight against multiple sclerosis, requiring both time and resources.
We are reaching out to friends, family, and compassionate individuals who can lend a helping hand. Your generous donation will directly assist Dean and his family during this difficult period, providing them with much-needed support as they navigate this journey together.
Dean is not just a patient; he is a loving husband, father, son, brother, and friend. For over 15 years, he has bravely battled multiple sclerosis, maintaining a positive outlook without asking for special treatment. Unfortunately, his condition has recently worsened, making it challenging for him to continue caring for his family while undergoing necessary treatment. This treatment will require Dean to be out of work for an extended period, and his wife Jess will need to be home to care for him and their children.
Dean was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS) in 2009 at the age of 25. For the first decade, his symptoms were relatively stable and manageable, allowing him to lead a normal lifestyle. However, over the past year, the progression of his MS has accelerated, leading to increased difficulty in walking, muscle weakness, spasticity, and cognitive changes. Recent scans revealed aggressive disease in his brain and spinal cord, causing his deteriorating condition. Despite these challenges, Dean remains hopeful about the possibility of halting the progression of his symptoms through the Auto-HSCT.
Dean and his family are facing significant financial hardship due to his illness and upcoming treatment. With Dean unable to work, they are struggling to cover essential and medical expenses. Your generous donation can help alleviate the financial burden they face during this challenging time.
Join us in supporting Dean's fight against MS. Your contribution, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference in their lives. Let's come together to provide Dean and his family with the hope and support they need to overcome this challenge, and be part of Dean's journey towards recovery.
