HELP THE LANDON DODD FAMILY
Donation protected
Hi, this is Lynn Villarreal and Rhonda Carter we are raising money for the Dodd Family. We met Landon through the Music Industry, my husband Kevin Carter has played fiddle and guitar on and off for Landon for many years and Lynn's husband Rick Villarreal has sang with Landon on many occasions. It is our desire to help reduce the financial burden brought on by continuous medical bills and time off work.
In April 2021, Candy Dodd started her breast cancer journey. She received the news she was HR+ and started an aggressive chemo Adriamycin (Red Devil). The chemo had Candy down and bedridden within ten days of receiving treatments. Feeling she needed more information and a second opinion; Candy was re-tested and finds out she is not only HR+, but is also HER2-. Now at a time when treatments were almost complete, she is starting a whole new round to treat what had gone undiagnosed in the beginning.
In June 2022, Candy started experiencing a lot of brain fog and speech problems. She could no longer complete a whole sentence. This was because her cancer had spread, she now has three tumors on the brain. The prognosis was that one of the three tumors were inoperable and there was nothing more they could do.
Thankfully, there was a doctor who stepped up and took her case. In August 2022, Candy underwent brain surgery to remove the tumors. She has had a total of five surgeries so far and may need more in the future. She has taken Adriamycin, twelve weeks of Taxol and is currently taking a treatment called Enhertu.
Candy is most definitely a fighter! In addition, she is also a teacher, the wife of Landon Dodd, the mother of Savannah and Cash Dodd and soon to be grandmother.
The family needs our prayers and help with the overwhelming amounts of medical bills and expenses. Any amount of support is greatly appreciated. There is no amount too small...and 100% of all proceeds go to the Dodd family.
